Lebogang Matela

Lebohang Matela is a regional director for FOCCISA Health and Gender Justice Network (FHGJN). She started working for National Councils of Churches and joined the regional Network of Church Councils in 2017.
She has implemented and managed health and gender programs in church councils and other NGOs and has participated in regional conferences aimed at building capacity of Church leaders to address gender and human rights issues.
Recently she is coordinating religious dialogues with LGBTI persons in Southern Africa. She is also researching about GBV, in particula,r intimate partner violence with University of Kwazulu Natal and completed her doctoral studies in 2020.
